How do I reissue, cancel, amend or cease a prescription?

Terminology

  • Cancel: Cancelling a prescription that does not have any scripts dispensed

  • Amend: Amending a prescription that does not have any scripts dispensed

  • Cease: Ceasing a prescription that is partially dispensed

  • Reissue: Resending a prescription that a patient may have misplaced or did not receive

Steps

⚠️ In order amend or cancel a prescription your organisation admin should have assigned you a prescriber seat. Only Prescribers may access this function

  1. Click the prescription you wish to adjust on your patient's script summary page

  2. Click Edit, Amend, Cease or Reissue

  3. There are different steps for each type:

    • For Reissue, Cease or Cancel: Follow the prompts and await for a success message or the screen to refresh, if you receive an error message the action has not been made and you should try again

    • For Edit: Make the edit you wish to make, click Submit and wait for the screen to refresh. Your edits should be viewable on the screen when you refresh your browser
