Parchment has several user security permissions to manage prescribers and admin accounts. One account can have multiple security roles

Permission

Description

Prescriber (Billable)

This role can be assigned to a Prescriber and allows the user to set up a prescriber account, add patients, edit patients, and write, send and amend prescriptions

Admin

This role give the user Admin permissions and allows them to invite new users and set up integrations

Patient Assistant

This role allows the user to view and manage patients by updating patient information

Rx Assistant

This role allows an non-prescriber to view prescription information but not write, send or adjust prescriptions❗️To activate this role, the user must also have Patient Assistant enabled.

Owner

This is the account owner, who can manage the organisation and billing

Steps

⚠️ To assign user roles you must be have an Admin or Owner security role

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click the Users tab

  3. Click Edit on the user you wish to adjust. If the user is not available you will need to invite them to join

  4. Add or remove security permissions by ticking or unticking the relevant checkbox, then click Update. Note you will be unable to add an additional prescriber if you do not have enough seats. To add an additional prescriber, you will first need to add another seat.
