FULL GUIDE: SETTING UP A NEW PRESCRIBER – Parchment Help Centre

User Permissions:
- You need to be assigned a Prescriber seat to set up a Prescriber account
- Your Organisation needs to be set up and validated
Requirements:
- You will need your HPI-I number, which you can find via PRODA
- You will need to generate an ERX Entity ID. This takes a couple of days to process
- You will need your Prescriber Number, which you can find via PRODA
- A staff member (i.e. your Practice Manager) can request to act as a delegate access your details on PRODA

Steps

⚠️ In order to set yourself up as a prescriber your organisation admin should have assigned you a prescriber seat and your organisation should have been set up and validated

Navigate to Settings > Account > Edit
Input your HPI-I number and select VALIDATE

Don't know your HPI-I number? Look it up on PRODA

Input your ERX Entity ID Number and select VALIDATE

Each new prescriber must generate a valid ERX entity ID, connected to Parchment. If you have a previous ID with another piece of software, you will need to generate a new one. ERX Entity ID Requests can take up to 5 days. Unfortunately we cannot speed this up.

Input your details and click VALIDATE
Input your address and click VALIDATE
Once these fields are completed, you may now write electronic prescriptions
