Steps
⚠️ To manage patients you must have the appropriate security role. You may look up a patient with their Name, Date of Birth & Gender along with their current address. If the patient does not appear, either their demographic details or current address are incorrect or their current address is not updated with Medicare. If you cannot find your patient through Parchment you (or your delegate) can look up their IHI via PRODA |
- Select Patients from the sidebar, then Lookup a Patient
- Enter their First and Last Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and enter either of the below and click SUBMIT
- their current address OR
- their IHI, which can be looked up via PRODA
- The below should appear, if it does not your patient's details are likely incorrect so recheck their details and try again. Confirm the patient is correct and click the (+) button to add them. If they are not appearing, double check their details or else search for the patient's IHI via PRODA.
- If successful, you will receive a Successfully Created Patient message. Go Back and you can now write a prescription for this patient
