Steps
⚠️ To manage patients you must have the appropriate security role. You may look up a patient with their Name, Date of Birth & Gender along with their current address. If the patient does not appear, either their demographic details or current address are incorrect or their current address is not updated with Medicare. If you cannot find your patient through Parchment you (or your delegate) can look up their IHI via PRODA |
- Select Patients from the sidebar, then Lookup a Patient
- Enter their First and Last Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and Medicare Card and IRN and click SUBMIT. You may also add substitute the Medicare number for either their DVA number or current address.
- The below should appear, if it does not your patient's details are likely incorrect so recheck their details and try again. Confirm the patient is correct and click the (+) button to add them. If you cannot find your patient, double check their details and if they are still not appearing, you may want to look them up on PRODA.
- If successful, you will receive a Successfully Created Patient message. Go Back and you can now write a prescription for this patient
